Noah from Southampton Helps out during Lockdown

  • 29 April, 2020

Always keen to help and keep busy, Noah Bradwell from our Southampton office wanted to
find something positive to do during the
lock-down. Fortunately his Mum came up
with a good idea. Noah’s Mum who works at their local supermarket knew that
they were looking for more delivery drivers to help out with the increased
demand from those in the local area who couldn’t get to the supermarket
themselves

Helping in the Community

  • 24 April, 2020

Having seen an article in the local press the team at Southampton office had a bit of a lightbulb moment. They had recently sold a house to the owner of a cleaning supply company and thought that maybe they could do something to help.

Staff at the Amberley Care Agency on Watkin Road in Hedge End had appealed to local businesses and residents to donate vital supplies so that they could keep on caring for their clients, majority of whom are over the age of 85 and are most vulnerable to the virus. Their usual supplier of these items was no longer providing them in enough quantities.

"When we heard what was happening we wandered if our purchaser who owns a local cleaning company Direct Clean could help. We gave him a call and before we knew it he went to the rescue of the Hedge End Care Agency following their appeal for donations of sanitiser, gloves and face masks desperately needed in their care of the elderly.  In addition to their donation, Direct clean have said: “If they can be of further help wherever possible they will”.  Just another example of how working together and thinking of others is so important at this time.

Caring in the Community in Winchester

Carl Oakley, the Branch Manager of our Winchester Office, regularly pops to the Brendoncare Nursing home delivering post and provisions to
one of our Vendors following his weekly check on her vacant property that he
carries out. One essential requirement for our client is some supply of her
favourite tipple!  Looking after our Clients in any way we can.  Well done Carl.

Continuing to Support the NHS

  • 22 April, 2020

We are very proud of Leica Sancto who works at our Denmead office and is making
great use of her time, making these as ear protectors for nurses / doctors /
midwives .The
knitted hearts are for bereaved families who can’t visit loved ones .. one
stays with person whose passed away & one stays with the family.
💕💙.  Her friend is making fabric headbands too which help with the comfort of the NHS staff whilst wearing their protective masks. She is also
knitting
🧶 premature
baby items for hospitals.
These really do go a long way to keeping our NHS staff safe but also comfortable, avoiding the need to touch their faces and making their long shifts a little more bearable.

Helping the Community in these times of need

  • 18 April, 2020

In these unprecedented times, our staff are doing all they can to look after those in our community who may be vulnerable or in need of some company or help and Karin Walters of our Romsey Office is no exception.  Karin is well known for her fantastic Sales Chasing skills and in her usual daily job she works hard looking after and progressing sales and purchases of property through to completion.   Karin now looks after 3 vulnerable families in her community, one lady is in isolation so Karin keeps in regular contact with her to chat, either on the phone, or at a distance in the garden, delivering her much needed supplies at the same time.  She then does a weekly shop for a lady at high risk, whose husband does not want to bring the virus home to her and also an elderly lady who cannot get out to the shops as she is in isolation and phones her regularly just to check on her.  We are so proud of you Karin and your efforts.
