12 February, 2024
As we head towards our first ‘live’ auction of 2024 we are pleased to report that activity levels for new instructions and valuations have increased, with more and more people it would appear, becoming more attuned to this efficient method of sale.
Therefore, if you have a property to sell that is chain-free, in need of repair, or has issues that may prevent a buyer from obtaining a mortgage, then a sale by Auction should seriously be considered.
At Auction, both you (our client) and the successful bidder have ‘peace of mind’, knowing that a formal exchange of contracts takes place there and then with a completion date to follow within 20 working days. No chains, no renegotiating, and no time-wasting!
Pearsons is currently one of the largest companies in South Hampshire offering ‘live’ room auctions. The benefit largely being that in a highly charged Auction Room, we feel there is more opportunity to push bids over the reserve price when you are ‘face to face’ with potential buyers rather than from a buyer sitting in the comfort of their own home.
With a total sales value of £13,798,500 in 2023, we head into the new year with continued confidence. Our February Auction falls on Valentine’s Day, 14th February, to be held in the Robin Smith Suite, Utilita Bowl Cricket Ground, Botley Road, West End, Southampton starting at 11.00am.
If you are a potential buyer there are currently 15 Lots available with which to ‘whet’ your appetite. Alternatively, should you be considering selling by auction in the future, then you are more than welcome to come along and experience the highly charged atmosphere of the Auction Room for yourself and also to discuss with any of our experienced staff the many positive aspects of selling at auction.
If you have a property that you feel is best suited to a ‘Live Auction’ sale, then please feel free to contact our auction team on 023 8047 4274 or auctions@pearsons.com
You’ll be ‘moved’ by our standard of service!
