Coming into 2026 with our first auction scheduled on Tuesday 10th February, we reflect on a successful 2025. What was the catalyst for our success: competitive guide prices together with good advice. Having secured 15 instructions for our February auction, interest levels, viewings and legal pack downloads have been extremely encouraging.
The auction market is certainly dovetailing the private treaty market; with both seeing an increase in activity from that of the last quarter of 2025. We work with motivated cash buyers who can view our auction properties through our network of local offices. Our second auction of 2026 will be held on 1st April with the cut-off for entry being 27th February.
Notably, we have seen an increase in activity from investment purchasers, particularly in blocks of flats and mixed usage commercial/residential properties.

The most important thing to remember when selling by auction is, a successful sale results in an immediate exchange of contracts, with completion agreed for 20 working days thereafter making the whole process much quicker and more efficient.
