Pearsons Auction Update

  • 2 June, 2020

On May 20th we had our second online auction of the year. The build-up was much more encouraging with more interest prior to the day and generally, you could sense that confidence had increased since the previous auction. In total there had been nine lots on offer and by close of business on the day of the auction there were only two left unsold.  This certainly bodes well for the future with new lots already registering for the 8th July and even September.

I do believe that the auction market was quicker to recover due to the fact that we are tempting cash buyers with either vacant properties or investment opportunities. Therefore, there is every reason to make a quicker decision with far less stress and a precise timescale.

Whether you're a seller or a buyer an auction is the most positive option.

Noah from Southampton Helps out during Lockdown

  • 29 April, 2020

Always keen to help and keep busy, Noah Bradwell from our Southampton office wanted to
find something positive to do during the
lock-down. Fortunately his Mum came up
with a good idea. Noah’s Mum who works at their local supermarket knew that
they were looking for more delivery drivers to help out with the increased
demand from those in the local area who couldn’t get to the supermarket

Helping in the Community

  • 24 April, 2020

Having seen an article in the local press the team at Southampton office had a bit of a lightbulb moment. They had recently sold a house to the owner of a cleaning supply company and thought that maybe they could do something to help.

Staff at the Amberley Care Agency on Watkin Road in Hedge End had appealed to local businesses and residents to donate vital supplies so that they could keep on caring for their clients, majority of whom are over the age of 85 and are most vulnerable to the virus. Their usual supplier of these items was no longer providing them in enough quantities.

"When we heard what was happening we wandered if our purchaser who owns a local cleaning company Direct Clean could help. We gave him a call and before we knew it he went to the rescue of the Hedge End Care Agency following their appeal for donations of sanitiser, gloves and face masks desperately needed in their care of the elderly.  In addition to their donation, Direct clean have said: “If they can be of further help wherever possible they will”.  Just another example of how working together and thinking of others is so important at this time.
