Pearsons Waterlooville Working Alongside McCarthy & Stone

  • 30 July, 2019

Gradidge, Branch Manager at Pearsons in  Waterlooville, has been delighted to have
the opportunity to work with Samantha Davidge of McCarthy & Stone, since
their new retirement  development at Shilling Place Purbrook began
construction and to have forged an excellent business relationship for both
companies. Samantha made excellent use of the office space we were able to make
available to her for marketing, prior to the recent opening of the show homes
on site. Paul and the sales team were able to work closely with Samantha and
invite customers to discuss their interest in the site in the comfort of the
Pearsons office! As a consequence, several reservations were quickly made and
utilising the various buying options available, including the popular ‘Smooth
Move’ and Part Exchange the number of sales have continued to steadily grow.
Details of
the development are available at the Pearsons office in Waterlooville and
appointments to meet Samantha on site and view the show homes are easily
arranged. Home owners in the local area are most welcome to also arrange a free
market appraisal of their own property, whilst deliberating over a move to this
fantastic retirement development.

Notes from the Rostrum

  • 26 July, 2019

With a much-renewed optimism for the Economy and the Housing Market, in particular, we have continued with a common theme of selling a number of properties outside of the Auction Room.  The July Auction, in particular, produced a magnificent 75% potential success sales rate.

This Auction brings another wide array of properties, spanning a broad price range across the region.

There are a number of properties providing an ideal ‘buy-to-let’ investment, which include a two-bedroom flat in Bitterne guided at £100,000, a modern three-bedroom semi-detached house in Denvilles and a character Listed building in Havant Town Centre worth a view. Alternatively, a two-bedroom house close to Fareham Town Centre that needs modernising or, a semi-detached house in Denmead in need of further updating, may also come high on your list!

There are once again, a number of bungalows all offering development potential, with one in Lovedean, in particular, having planning to replace the current dwelling with a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached houses. We have a double-bay fronted detached bungalow in Farlington, enjoying a favoured upper hillslope position and a detached bungalow, just a short distance from the sea-front at Hill Head.

For all you keen boating enthusiasts, there is a modern ‘Mews’ style house on Hythe Marina enjoying a 10-metre mooring. For those seeking a character four-bedroom home, then there is an opportunity to buy just that, in Widley.

Finally, there is a beautiful creation in the making, with St Francis Chapel Funtley, providing an excellent opportunity to develop an exciting project and a distinctive detached character home in Wickham that is sure to attract interest.

We look forward to meeting you at the Ageas Bowl on Wednesday 28th August, the home of Hampshire Cricket.
